Time after time the American people, and the world, witness the “heartfelt” apology of yet another one of our disgraced political figures. Do they not learn from the other men exposed such as; Vitter, Haggard, Clinton, Mc Greevey, Craig, Mayor Kilpatrick and now Spitzer, just to name a few from the ever growing list. When will these men learn that eventually you get caught? Or does the power that is bestowed upon them create a false sense of security?

As I see yet another wife stand by her man, it just makes me cringe. The wives not only experience the initial embarrassment in private, they must then stand in the shadow of their husband’s shame while he apologizes to the public. Is it their willingness to show a united front for their spouse because they do not want to lose the power they have, because of their husbands’ position? Could it be the “handlers” for the politicians who persuade this solidarity in an attempt to salvage their spouses’ job? Maybe it’s for the sake of the children. Any way you look at it, the wife is victimized again. I say let the dog stand before the American public and apologize all he wants. The wives need to say to their spouse; “you created this mess, you go in front of the cameras by yourself.” If the husband had an ounce of dignity left, he should now want to protect his wife from further embarrassment and harm.

The men in powerful positions that think they are invincible are no better than the standard low life that cheats. Here’s an idea, throw the hypocrites by themselves in a “ring of shame” and watch them cry and squirm as they apologize for their bad judgment in front of the cameras. That will bring justice for their wives and the American taxpayers, and maybe just maybe teach them a lesson./span>
